MSN's new site, the title got me thinking, "No One Wants to Look Dumb. You see, I live here in Silicon Valley. Can we count the brain power? Can we count the universities? Yup. It is oh-so-definitely part of our corporate image NOT TO LOOK DUMB. And yet... well, it's my male clients who sort of sidle up to me, covert, subliminal... "Ah, how can I avoid looking like an idiot in front of girls?" Many of the really sweet sw engineers are NOT the smoothest guys with women. They work with them and know how to assign trouble tickets and resolve them, but actually conversing romantically with a woman, well, that is a WHOLE other thing. Or as Kevin Hogan would point out, THAT is a whole other CONTEXT!The other factor on the other side of the equation, there are DA WOMEN. We can SMELL your masculine fear and intimidation, yes, actually 12 feet away. I'm not kidding. It's actually in your pheromone signature. Your being ill-at-ease with women, we can LITERALLY smell it.
I'll continue to post about some ideas for how to BETTER position yourself with women and girls, not JUST to pick them up a la Pick Up Artists (PUAs), but also actually to establish a RELATIONSHIP. Then you could actually get those bed benefits on a regular basis. Or as I like to say, turn off the TV, power down your laptop, and make your OWN porn!

April hits the nail right on the head. When you are sitting there looking across the room, or the bar, or the office and trying to muster up the courage to speak to her, she knows what you are doing.
Self-confidence generates it's own success. Develop self-confidence and practice some skills (yes, even and especially the skills of a PUA) and you will be successful with women.
Once you start to meet them you can have the relationship you want, the key word being want. The skills of the PUA are nothing more than tools, and honestly, they are the same tools every successful salesman possesses.
My intent is not to promote PUA skills but to promote a model and a set of skills in order to meet women. The result you get with them comes from how you use them. A confident, capable man with PUA skills will establish more relationships with more women, and won't care about looking dumb.
